DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - After a meeting in Dayton Thursday, 2 News discovered the Dayton Processing Center on Fifth Street won't be closing until June of 2013.

Previously, operations were planned to be moved to Columbus in February, putting 400 jobs on the line.

The Processing Center won't close completely. People will still be able to buy stamps, send packages and drop off mail, it will just take a little longer to get to its destination.

In February 2012,  The US Postal Service made the original decision to close the center for budget reasons.
