DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police are investigating whether a report of shots fired into a house and an auto accident are related.

Two cars collided at Kings Highway and Fairport Avenue around 11:00 Sunday night.

Police told 2 News they were originally called to the area on a report of shots fired into house at 4600 Greenwich Village, located about a mile away.

They said the occupants of one of the cars may have been involved in that incident, and crashed into the other car while trying to get away from police arriving in the area.

When police and medics did arrive, one car was off to the side of the road. Police said it struck a power pole and wound up into a tree. Just down the road, another car was crashed with a mangled front end.

Officers said they found guns inside the car that crashesd into the tree.

Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment, two to Miami Valley Hospital, and two to Grandview Hospital.

Two of those people are suspected in the shooting incident have been apprehended, they both have outstanding warrants. One suspect remains on the loose.

Police said they found no evidence of bullet holes at the house on Greenwich Village.

The accident caused a power outage in the area that has since been restored.
