DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - As one of America's most anticipated and celebrated sporting events takes place this weekend, troopers are preparing to keep the roads safe.

Many cities and townships are increasing patrols this weekend to help keep drunk drivers off the roads.

"We'll be prepared.  We have a lot of federal overtime starting tonight and going through Sunday evening into the early morning Monday with federally funded overtime for troopers to observe and watch for impaired drivers.

Troopers say to be sure and designate a sober driver before the party starts.

And, they want you to remember that if you are the party host, you can be held liable and prosecuted if someone you served ends up in a drunk driving crash.
