DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police are investigating an incident early Monday morning where a Dayton officer fired his weapon after responding to an apparent break-in.
Two men were taken into custody at 810 Richmond Ave. around 1 a.m.
Lt. Wendy Stiver told 2 NEWS it was when the suspects were leaving the residence that the officer said he hear gunshots, and that's when he fired his gun.
The suspected break-in and the resulting gunfire are still being investigated.
Police have not made formal charges and have not released the names of anyone involved.
