Police: Boy, 4 shoots self

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton Police were investigating after a 4-year-old shot himself in the buttocks Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Brooks Street.

The child was rushed to Dayton Childrens’ Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the boy’s grandfather was supposed to be watching him at the time of the incident. They say he was no where to be found and are actively searching for him.

Children’s services was also called into investigate the situation.
