MIAMI TWP, Ohio (WDTN) - A 76-year old man died Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Burton Smith of West Carrollton was killed when he was hit by a car around 6:30 pm on State Route 741 near Alex Bell Road in Miami Township.
He was taken to Kettering Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say it appears he stepped out into traffic.
The driver who hit him did stop and is cooperating with police.
