DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A man was knocked down by a car while crossing a busy Dayton intersection Thursday morning.
It happened about 9:15 at the intersection of Patterson and Smithville roads.
The pedestrian was struck while crossing Smithville Road.
An elderly driver headed westbound on Patterson was turning south on Smithville when he hit the man.
Police said the driver told them he did not see the man in the crosswalk.
The driver will be cited.
The name and condition of the victim has not been released.
