OVI checkpoint to be held to keep drivers safe

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County conducted a sobriety checkpoint Saturday.

The checkpoint was held at North Gettysburg and Kings Highway from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

In 2011, there were 548 alcohol related crashes in Montgomery County. Those accidents claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 330.

Law enforcement officials advise to designate a driver if you plan on drinking.
