TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - In preparation for the President's and Vice President's visit to Dayton on Tuesday, local Obama for America volunteers and supporters hosted a sign making party at the Trotwood OFA office.

Volunteers at the sign making party highlighted their enthusiasm for the rally set for Triangle Park at 2500 Ridge Avenue in Dayton.  Many of the artists were children who won't be able to vote for years, but their families see the historic significance of this event.

Marilyn Sanders told 2 NEWS she plans to take her grandson. "I think this will be a tradition, something that will go down in history, something he'll remember all his life.  He'll be able to share with his kids when he grows up," Sanders said.

The campaign stop will be the first time the President and Vice President have rallied together this year.

President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are expected to push their message of moving forward to create an economy that's built to last.

The event is scheduled to start around 3:50 p.m.Tuesday at Triangle Park near Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.
Gates open at 12:30 p.m.  You will need a ticket.  Organizers say there were still tickets available as of 10 p.m. Sunday.
