DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton International Airport announced that Delta Air Lines will begin daily non-stop service between Dayton International Airport and LaGuardia Airport on January 3, 2013.
US Airways previously offered the non-stop service, however the service was discontinued in July 2012 due to the slot swaps between US Airways and Delta Air Lines at the LaGuardia Airport.
According to Director of Aviation for the City of Dayton Terrence Slaybaugh, more than 100 passengers a day have been impacted by the lack of convenient and reliable service to LaGuardia.
The first non-stop flight to LaGuardia will take off on January 3, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. Delta will operate two flights a day except for Sunday when one flight will operate.
