CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Counting down the year will have a completely different ring to it at one exclusive New Year's Eve Party where the guests are dogs.
Club K-9 Doggy Day Care started holding a bow-wow bash about seven years ago so that while clients are living it up, their dogs can get a sniff of the celebration.
"They felt guilty about leaving their dogs for long lengths of time, even if they weren't going to be out all night, they felt bad about leaving their dogs," says Christina Massie, owner of Club K-9.
The view may not exactly be Times Square, but just like you can watch the folks in New York, you can also watch as your dog celebrates the New Year.
It's just going to be a different kind of ball dropping.
"If they don't see their dogs they want to know if we can put their dogs in front of the camera so their friends can see their dogs," Massie says.
This year the dogs will even have their own brew to toast with called Bowser Beer.
Don't worry, its bark is worse than its bite.
"It has no hops and it has a lot of good things in there for the dogs," Massie says.
Judging from the pre-party, the dogs will have plenty to wag their tails about.
So when you're dog tired the day after, they will be too.
"The dogs won't have any hangovers," Massie says. "We can't promise the clients won't have any hangovers, but at least the dogs will be tired if the clients do have hangovers."
You have to be a client at Club K-9 to sign up your dog for the party, but even if your dog can't go, you can still watch.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
