DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - North Carolina A&T and Liberty were first to take the court in Dayton.
The two games scheduled for Wednesday are LUI Brooklyn vs. James Madison in the early game at 6:40, followed by LaSalle vs. Boise State in the second game.
UD Arena is buzzing with NCAA action and fans are flocking to see the games.
Here are some reminders as you head for the arena. First and foremost, have a good time.
"We want everyone to have a great time. We have great teams. Everyone enjoy themselves. Come early. That will guarantee that you'll be able to park close and you'll get in quick and not miss anything," said Tim O'Connell, Assistant VP of Athletics.
O'Connell says if you've already purchased a pass, park in arena lots A and C off Edwin C. Moses. If not, Lot D, which is closer to Stuart Street, will cost you $15.00.
"Now once those areas get full. The over-flow lot over by the Dayton Marriott will be available and we will be running shuttle buses exactly like we do for the Dayton's Flyers games." That means a shuttle will arrive every ten minutes. Parking your car there will cost $3.00.
O'Connell says police will be monitoring the area closely.
"There won't be any parking in the neighborhood, the Carillon neighborhood, matter of fact there will be mandatory towing there."
And if you choose to walk, be mindful of heavy traffic and adhere to pedestrian signals.
O'Connell warns organizers are most concerned with the tight timeline on Friday.
Games will practically be back to back with the second starting when evening rush hour hits.
Once you arrive at the arena doors, make sure you can get in without any problems.
You cannot take food or drinks inside with you, plus no backpacks or large purses unless medically necessary.
Video recorders and still cameras with a lens larger than four inches are prohibited as are signs that obstruct views, laser pointers or artificial noisemakers.
