MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - Residents of an apartment building stood in the rain early Thursday morning and watched their homes burn in Miamisburg.

A Miamisburg Fire Lieutenant now tells us a lightning strike is being blamed for the fire.

The fire started around 2:30 a.m. on South Main Street between Central Avenue and Linden Avenue. The building houses several businesses at the bottom and apartments on top.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor burn injuries. Another was treated for smoke inhalation. Thursday.  No one else was hurt but residents tell us the thick, black smoke prevented them from finding some of their beloved pets.
