Miamisburg mayor marries 3000th couple

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - Miamisburg's mayor has reached a milestone of matrimonial proportion.
Mayor Dick Church performed his 3,000th wedding Thursday afternoon.
The ceremony took place in the Miamisburg Civic Center where Shaunna and Ryan Lest were wed.
"Everyone is special. I can't remember 3000 couples, but it does make me feel good. There is hardly anytime I go out that people don't come up and say you married us," said Mayor Church.
In his 21 years on the job, the mayor says the city has made more than $140,000 from the weddings.
The money goes to local organizations.
