KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - Holiday festivities were all aglow in the Miami Valley Friday night.

Several communities lit Christmas trees to ring in the season.

The City of Kettering held their official lighting ceremony at Lincoln Park.  There was hot chocolate and carriage rides all around.

The switch was flipped at The Woodland Lights in Washington Township as well.

2012 marks the 20th season for the display next to the Washington Twp. Rec Center on Miamisburg-Centerville Road.

The displays decorate a wooded path half a mile long.
