Miami County man sentenced for selling his kids for sex

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Kenneth Brandt, the Troy father serving time for the rape of his three adopted children will be sentenced to an additional 50 years to life as part of a plea deal agreed upon in Montgomery Co. court on Dec. 20, 2012.

Judge Huffman outlined the two 25-year sentences Kenneth Brandt will serve consecutively for raping his adoptive son, as well as his involvement in helping another man do the same. 

The Montgomery county judge dropped the five other counts against Brandt under the condition he testify against Patrick Reider.  Reider is the man investigators said answered an online ad placed by Brandt which offering his son for sex.

Under the plea deal, Brandt's sentence will be served concurrently to his current 60-year sentence in Miami County.

Brandt, 40, will receive two 25 years to life sentences for rape under age 13 and complicity to rape under 13.

Reider will be in court February 19, 2012. 

Brandt will be back in court for his official sentencing the following week, on Feb. 26.
