Marshals look for missing sex offender

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - U-S Marshals were searching Monday for a missing sex offender.

They tell 2 NEWS this is the fifth time 32-year-old Robert Philbeck has failed to report his new address.

Philbeck actually served prison time in the past for failing to register.

Marshals say Philbeck used to live on Fillmore Street in Dayton, but hasn't been there for quite some time.

He was originally convicted of having sex with someone under 13 and was actually featured on our Monday's Most Wanted for not registering back in 2007.

"There's no doubt in his mind he's supposed to register and he chooses to flip the criminal justice system off," says U.S. Marshals Senior Inspector Bill Taylor. "Is he targeting someone else's kid? I don't know, but that's my fear."

Marshals believe Philbeck may be staying with a girlfriend of his.

He stands 6'2" and weighs 260 lbs.
