Man in wheelchair struck by truck on Salem Ave.

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - A man riding in his wheelchair was hit by a pickup truck Monday afternoon.

Police say the victim was crossing the street at Salem Avenue and Shiloh Springs Road around 3:00 pm.

Officers say he was not in a crosswalk and rode into the path of the pickup.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of what is being called non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say the driver will not be cited since the man in the wheelchair was not in a crosswalk.
