Local Democrats watch Obama acceptance speech

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - Supporters of President Barack Obama gathered Thursday evening for a watch party.
Democrats gathered in Huber Heights to see Mr. Obama accept his party's nomination. They also heard from Vice President, Joe Biden, who accepted his party's nomination as well.
They then heard his plans for the future including strengthening the middle class.
One notable attendee in Charlotte Thursday was former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. She led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Giffords continues her recovery from a gunshot wound to the head at an Arizona political event.
Actresses Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson and Caroline Kennedy also took to the stage.
