Kettering Jiffy Lube targeted by robber

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - Kettering Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Jiffy Lube.

Officers say a man approached an employee in the parking lot at 2520 Wilmington Pike around 7:20 pm.

The suspect showed a handgun and demanded that the worker hand over the night deposit bag.

The employee said he did not have it, so the suspect ordered him inside to open the safe.

The suspect got the money he was after and fled the business.

The suspect is described as as in his 20s to early 30s, medium build, wearing dark colored pants and a red sweatshirt.

The employee was not hurt and there were no customers there at the time.
