CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - Several twists and turns in a troubled relationship end with a man arrested and sent to jail.

Michael Spicer, 23, of Huber Heights, faces several charges including abduction, assault and stalking.

Centerville police say a break-up led to a day long ordeal for Spicer's girlfriend.

The Huber Heights woman told police that she was heading to work in Kettering in September 2012 when she heard a noise in her car.  She popped the trunk and found Spicer hiding inside.

Police say he forced her to drive, let her work all day, but waited for her to return to the car after work.  Police say the two then drove from place to place through several cities.  He's accused of assaulting her along the way and snatching her cell phone.

The victim told police she finally convinced Spicer to let her go.

Police have been building a case against Spicer ever since.  They finally picked him up Thursday, February 7 in Anderson County, Tennessee where he was in jail on an unrelated offense.

Spicer was brought back to the Miami Valley and is being held in the Montgomery County Jail with bond.

He is awaiting his first court appearance in Montgomery County.
