DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Two men convicted of running an illegal fundraiser were sentenced Thursday.

Thomas Boscarino received probation for his role.

He claimed the fundraiser was organized to help pay legal fees for his son, Nikolaous, who was charged with assaulting police officers.

Another man, Jay Bakshi, was also convicted of disorderly conduct.  He too was sentenced to probation.

Three others have also been charged in this case.  Kenneth Wise was found not guilty of activities without a permit, as were Christina Silvati and Ryan Hilgeman.

Silvati and Hilgeman were convicted of disorderly conduct.

Nikolaous Boscarino was sentenced to seven years in prison last month for the assault at Taggart's Pub in Dayton back in August 2011.
