Dayton, OHIO (WDTN) - The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission has issued an air pollution advisory for Wednesday, June 20.

The commission expects higher concentrations of ground-level ozone, also known as smog.

You're asked to reduce your driving between 9 a-m and 6 p-m, also wait until after 6 to mow or to fill-up at the gas station.

They say heat stroke can happen with little warning. Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps and weakness, rapid heart rates and shallow breathing. You may also stop sweating.

The very young, senior citizens and athletes are most at risk, but some medical conditions and medications also make people more susceptible to heat. Doctors tell us that heat stroke can affect  *anyone*.

If you believe someone is suffering from heat stroke, call 9-1-1.

Summer officially arrives Wednesday, June 20 at 7:09 PM.
