Hearing to resume about DiPietro's fate

MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A new disciplinary hearing is now set for the Miami Township police officer under investigation for misconduct while on duty.

Major John DiPietro could learn his fate on February 13 when hearings resume.  Three previous meetings were postponed.

A Montgomery County Sheriff's Department report states that DiPietro acted improperly when he was alone with a teenaged girl as he decontaminated her following a pepper spray incident in July.  The report says DiPietro had the girl strip naked so that he could spray her with water.

No criminal charges were filed, but an internal investigation is ongoing.
