KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - Workers are trying to clean-up Mother Nature's mess at area parks and even a cemetery.
High winds sent branches crashing into sections of headstones at Beavertown Cemetery, which is operated by the Kettering Parks Department.
In some cases, the impact separated the stones from their bases.
Park officials plan to have the newer part of the cemetery ready for visitors by Saturday.
While some crews work on the cemetery, others are cleaning up parks, like Indian Riffle, where branches were broken and trees torn apart.
"I didn't expect to see this," says Todd Heffner, who was out playing disc golf at the park. "It looks like it'll take a long time to get straightened out."
Despite the damage, the parks are open except for State Farm Park, which is closed because it's under construction.
"Our efforts have been to get the parks safe so people could use them this weekend and to make sure that shelter areas were opened up," says Mike Fleener, Kettering Parks Superintendent.
Park officials say you should watch out for all the fallen branches on the ground. Those could take a few more weeks to get cleared.
The following people have recently been booked into Jail. They may not have been convicted of the crimes they are charged with and are innocent until proven guilty.
