TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Dylan Harrison was formally charged with murdering his grandmother Regina Davis Friday.
He's also charged with felonious assault and Trotwood Police say he could face more charges.
Harrison showed no emotion and didn't speak today as he made his first court appearance in New Lebanon District Court by video conference.
The judge set his bond at half a million dollars.
If he posts bail, Harrison must wear an electronic monitoring device.
His attorney, Jon Paul Rion, argued for a lower bond.
He says Harrison was working and going to school at the time of his arrest.
Rion says there was a fight before Davis' death and a knife was brandished in a threatening manner against Harrison.
"We're doing our investigation. We're looking into the facts and there's a lot to be said on both sides of this case. It warrants us sitting down with the prosecutor, showing them what we have and hopefully they show us what they have and I think justice will be served," says Rion.
Prosecutors will present their case to the grand jury within ten days.
Meanwhile, Davis' neighbors plan to hold a prayer vigil to remember her this Saturday at noon at her home on Natalie Court.
