HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - A new firefighter in Huber Heights proudly wore her new badge on her collar Friday.
Zephyr is an accelerant detection canine, who will help sniff out clues to aid investigators with the State Fire Marshal's office as they handle arson cases. Her handler showed off zephyr's skills in Huber Heights Friday morning.
Zephyr will be based in Dayton and serve much of Southwest Ohio. She is the fourth dog used by the State Fire Marshal's office.
The State Fire Marshal's office handles 1,200 arson cases per year in Ohio.
