Free pet vaccines for qualifying owners

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center wants to make sure every pet is happy and healthy.

It is holding a vaccination clinic for pet owners who receive public assistance or unemployment benefits.

The clinic is set for Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the center located at 6790 Webster Street in Dayton.

You must show proof of public assistance of unemployment to get your pet vaccinated.

There is a co-pay of $5.00 for one animal and $10.00 for up to three animals.

Your dog must also be registered to qualify.

The vaccines are available for 100 animals, so organizers suggest you make a reservation by contacting the Animal Resource Center at 898-4457.

Pre-registration closes Friday, January 25 at noon.

The funds for the clinic were provided by the ASPCA.
