DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Despite rumors of a possible run for election, Rhine McLin will not run for state representative in November, according to the Montgomery County Democratic Party Chair.
Democratic Party Chairman Mark Owens said the former Dayton mayor will not be in the race for state representative.
McLin was reportedly interested in representative Clayton Luckie's seat.
On Friday, Luckie announced he will not seek re-election. The decision comes on the heels of the Franklin County Prosecutor confirming that Luckie is under investigation.
Although, prosecutors won't say what the investigation is for, they did state it does not involve bribery.
The Democratic Party will meet on Sunday to choose a replacement candidate.
Democratic Party Chairman Mark Owens said former State Senator Fred Strahorn has shown interest in the position.
The Greenon Local School District just received 76 new computers.
