DAYTON, Ohio (DAYTON BUSINESS JOURNAL) - Dayton Business Journal: A Toledo-area construction firm has won a $3.2 million deal for a project to prevent flooding of businesses in West Carrollton.

Earlier this week, Perrysburg-based Kwest Group LLC was awarded the contract to finish the Holes Creek flood protection project, which includes construction of a roughly 2,600-foot flood prevention wall. The wall will reduce the risk of flooding for a dozen commercial and industrial properties along Springboro Pike in West Carrollton.

Officials have said the project is critical to prevent businesses from leaving, thereby protecting about 300 jobs in the flood-prone area.
