HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) - The Huber Heights Fire Division hosted an open house at 7008 Brandt Pike Sunday to kick off Fire Prevention Month and Breast Cancer Awareness.

The event included live demonstrations and displays, as well as food and games.

The department also unveiled the very first pink fire truck in the area, designed to raise funding for breast cancer awareness.

For the month of October, the pink fire engine will travel throughout the Miami Valley to local breast cancer events and public gatherings to raise money for the fight against cancer.

The public will have the opportunity to sign the truck.

The fire department will also sell pink t-shirts in October for $15 each. A majority of the proceeds raised will be donated to The Cancer Support Community of Western Ohio locate in Montgomery County and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
