Try to regain momentum lost to Sandy

West Chester, Ohio (WDTN) - President Obama is back on the campaign trail Friday, Nov. 2 after Hurricane Sandy threw him a bit of a curve ball.

The President spent the last three days managing the federal response to the storm, but  will speak in front of thousands in Springfield Friday.

Ohio is key to his re-election bid and Friday's appearance in Springfield is the first of three Ohio stops as he'll also rally support in Hilliard and Lima.

On today's agenda -- the president's second-term plan for the economy, as well as the importance of voter turn-out.

He'll be highlighting higher home prices, and victories overseas.

The president will hit seven states between now and election day -- but his focus is on Ohio, his "must-win" state.

At the same time, Mitt Romney will be in the Buckeye state making his case to voters.

The Romney, Ryan campaign is trying to regain their momentum by pulling out all the stops in West Chester Friday, Nov. 2 , as they launch a 4 day tour across the country.

It's being called the Romney, Ryan Real Recovery Road Rally that will feature family members at The Square at Union Centre in Republican stronghold Warren County.

The governor will be joined by U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner, Secretary Condoleezza Rice and nearly 100 governors, senators, mayors, and more who'll be following them into key battleground states leading-up to Tuesday's election.

With federal employment numbers coming out Friday, we anticipate the governor will use Ohio's recent un-employment numbers to fire-up his following.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Ohio's unemployment numbers remain around percent.

In January of 2009, when the Obama administration took over, it registered percent.
