Filthy house littered with debris

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton police discovered five people living in a filthy home at the same time they were dealing with the same issue at another house.

Officers responded to 913 Creighton Avenue Friday evening.

They found three adults and two children, ages 12 and 14, living in a home that police say seemed to have no furniture.

Investigators said the floor of the home was littered with debris.

Two dogs and a snake were also living there. The snake was described as a burmese python about five to six feet long, living in an aquarium. Police said it did not appear to be a threat to anyone.

Police say the mother will most likely be charged with child endangering. They are working with her to find a place for the children to stay Friday night.

If not, Montgomery County Children Services could be called in to investigate.

The other home was on East Second Street where a 9-yr old girl was removed along with several animals.
