HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - A federal investigation is underway involving a home in Harrison township. A 2 NEWS camera was rolling in front of 3344 Catalpa Drive as agents from the IRS and DEA seized computers from that address this morning.
Craig Casserly of the IRS said he was restricted from saying much because the activity is "sealed in federal court." Members of the Montgomery County Sheriff's office are assisting with the investigation. Sheriff Phil Plummer told 2 NEWS this is a drug case that involves receiving stolen property, but it's up to the federal agents to comment.
Casserly called it "official business."
2 NEWS on Assignment did some digging and found that the property belongs to Sivan Hunter. Comparing phone records to federal court records it appears she was once Sivan Richardson and filed bankruptcy in the 1990's in Georgia.
No one answered the door when we returned to the house after the agents had left. Some neighbors told 2 NEWS they had complained about the number of vehicles and a large trailer being kept at that house on the corner of Catalpa Drive and Valewood Lane, but nothing was ever done.
Casserly said he was not aware of any arrests.
