DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A Dayton father spoke out about the senseless killing of his son a day after he was shot to death in his minivan.

Authorities told 2NEWS Kareem Dickerson was shot in the head on the intersection of West Third and South Kilmer streets. The 29-year-old was found dead about 5:45 Sunday morning in the driver's seat of his van.

Police said they're looking for two possible suspects who were wearing black hooded sweatshirts at the time of the murder.

Dickerson's father said Kareem was a good person and can't understand why someone would want to murder his son.

"I loved him dearly. He was my only son. I was hoping he'd give me some grandkids, especially some boys to carry on our family name," Larry Dickerson said.

Police say they are looking for a motive in the case and ask anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers at 222-7867.
