GERMAN TOWNSHIP (WDTN) - A stretch of road in German Township was shut down Friday afternoon after a piece of farm equipment crashed.

A combine traveling east, and a Five Rivers MetroPark ranger traveling west came face-to-face at a bridge on Manning Road near the intersection of Boomershine Road about 2:00, according to deputies.

When they tried to pass by each other on the bridge, the combine rolled over the top of the ranger's SUV and toppled over.

The combine landed along the side of the road and the SUV was smashed into a guardrail.

No injuries were reported.
