DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A green light for a key research project at Sinclair Community College.
The FAA authorized the college to fly drones over Springfield-Beckley Airport.
Sinclair becomes the first community college in Ohio to get the clearance.
It means researchers can fly two unmanned aerial vehicles in restricted airspace.
UAVs help train students in a field many believe could someday generate thousands of new jobs in the Dayton region.
