DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Several counties have issued snow emergencies and are telling motorists to stay off the roads.
County Status
A Level 1 emergency means roadways are hazardous with ice, and blowing and drifting snow will reduce, narrowing travel lanes and making driving hazardous.
A Level 2 emergency means roadways are extremely hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those persons who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Your employer should be contacted to see If you should report to work.
A Level 3 emergency means all roadways are closed to non-emergency traffic. No one should be out during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel. All persons should contact their employer to see If they should report to work. Those persons traveling or requiring others to travel on the roadways may subject themselves to arrest.
