UNION, Ohio (WDTN) - A skipped red light was the cause of crash in the city of Union Thursday morning.
The driver of a pickup truck southbound on SR 48 ran the red light at Old Springfield Road, according to police, and side-swiped a Toyota SUV in the intersection.
The truck then hit a tree before flipping on its side and coming to rest in the middle of the road.
The male driver was ejected from the pickup.
He was taken by squad to an area hospital. His name and condition has not been released.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
