DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Construction started Monday on a new project in a Dayton neighborhood that some say is poised for development.

The new building for Goodwill Easter Seals of Miami Valley is one of two projects underway on Warren Street near Miami Valley Hospital. Goodwill Easter Seals helps people with disabilities get jobs and currently has several other Dayton locations.

Goodwill will build on a seven acre property that once housed Benham's Catering for more than 70 years. The old Benham's building demolition is the first part of the project. The new building will house additional administration offices and program service space. 125 goodwill employees from the Kuntz Road location will move to the new one when its complete in 2014. Officials said the extra space should allow them to add at least 50 new jobs.

"We are growing. There is a tremendous need in the community for our services and programs. There are a lot of people out there with disabilities and other needs that we want to be able to serve. This new location will help us do that," said Kim Bramlage, marketing communications coordinator, goodwill E aster Seals of Miami Valley.

The second project underway on Warren Street is the relocation of Coco's Bistro.  The restaurant's move from Wayne Avenue cost around $1 million. The city of Dayton approved a $75,000 loan to help pay for the renovations and expanded parking lot.

Coco's grand opening is planned for early November.
