DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Developers of a proposed racino in Dayton gave an early glimpse of the plans Friday.
Penn National says the Hollywood Slots at Dayton Raceway will feature video lottery terminals and live harness racing.
The development plans show a 5/8 mile harness racetrack, an up to 150,000 square foot gaming building with a simulcast theater for on and off-track wagering, self-bet/full bet mutual service stations and theater and box seating.
The Dayton Plan Board will consider the proposal Tuesday, November 20 in a public meeting beginning at 4:30 pm at Dayton City Hall.
The racino would transform 125 acres along Needmore and Wagner Ford roads.
If planners give Penn a green light, Dayton City Commissioners will vote in January.
State commissioners also have to approve the project.
If all goes well, it will open in 2014 and create as many as 1,000 jobs.
