VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) - Another "first flight" in Dayton.

Southwest Airlines is now taking passengers non-stop from Dayton International to Denver.

2 NEWS on Assignment was the only local news crew on board.

Pam Elliot shows you why local passengers couldn't wait to get on board in this special report.

We wanted you to know that we requested to be on board this first flight.

Southwest provided the tickets, but in no way influenced our story or had any editorial control over it.
