DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton Public Schools held its first informational meeting Monday night about the new school year.

The first of four meetings was held at the Lohrey Center.

Not only did it include information on the new busing plan, but also about school lunches and classroom assignments.

The district recently informed parents it would be enforcing a stricter one and a half mile radius for bussing students, forcing many more to walk to school.

The next meeting is planned for Tuesday, August 7 at the Princeton Center at 1600 Princeton Avenue.

The remaining two:

Aug. 8 - Kiser PreK-8 School, 1401 Leo St.

Aug. 9 - Fairview PreK-8 School, 2314 Elsmere Ave.

All the fairs begin at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
