DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with donors throughout the Dayton area, made the holidays brighter for families staying at the Red Cross Family Living Center.

The RCFLC staff, individuals, and business representatives delivered donated gifts door-to-door to parents and children at the Center on South Gettysburg Avenue.

"This is his first Christmas and I was trying to figure out how i was going to get him some stuff for Christmas and it's just been a blessing since we been here," said resident Kina Fomby.

Gift donors for this year include Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Mrs. Sharon Cassano, the American Red Cross Associate Board as well as area church groups, businesses and individuals.

The Dayton Area Chapter's RCFLC is the only program in the county dedicated to housing entire, intact homeless families. The facility can accommodate 37 families. Additionally, there is the Greene County Housing Program that can house six to nine families at a time.
