Missing Dayton man found safe

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - An 83-year-old man has been found safe and is back with his family.

Russell Franklin was found late Friday night, after he went missing from his Walton Avenue home Friday morning.

Dayton Police said Franklin suffered from dementia and was in need of his medication.

Officers stated this wasn't the first time Franklin wandered away from his home.
