DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A Dayton man was convicted Oct. 1 on two firearms charges.
Edward Robinson, 35, was found guilty by a U.S. District Court jury of being a felon in possession of a firearm and of being a felon in possession of ammunition.
According to trial testimony, the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, acting on a tip, found firearms and ammunition belonging to Robinson inside a house they believed Robinson was sharing with a girlfriend.
“Federal law prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms or ammunition,” U.S. Attorney Carter M. Stewart said. “The penalty for each count is up to 10 years in prison.”
Robinson will remain in jail until a sentencing date is set by the court.
