DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A Dayton church asked for supplies to send to Hurricane Sandy victims on Wednesday.

First Grace Church off Stonequarry Road near the airport has partnered with a church in Staten Island. The congregation is asking for donations such as blankets, pillows, drinking water, shovels, rubber gloves and non-perishable food items. The complete list of supplies is listed at http://www.firstgrace.net/

"All of these things are things we have readily available here right now, and we are blessed here. There is no reason that all of us can't do something; and we realized that everyone working together can accomplish a lot," said Pastor Bruce Jackson.

Other churches interested in getting involved in the donation drive should call First Grace Church at 890-6786.
