DAYTON, Ohio (DAYTON BUSINESS JOURNAL) - Dayton Business Journal: Automotive sales are improving, but Dayton-region dealers remain cautious.
They say buyers are still purchasing vehicles out of necessity, rather than desire, and market uncertainty will continue to play a role in consumer spending levels.
Nevertheless, new and used auto sales are revving up nationwide and locally.
At the end of April, sales climbed nationally more than 10 percent, compared to the same period a year ago. Except for April, sales went up by double digits each month this year, compared to 2011, according to the National Automobile Dealers Association.
