Court reinstates final 3 days of early voting, favors Obama for America

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS just learned that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the sixth circuit has ruled in favor of Obama for America.

The court upheld the ruling by a district judge that favors allowing early in-person voting for all registered voters during the last three days before the election.

The State of Ohio had argued against keeping Boards of Elections open that last weekend, only giving the military that opportunity.

According to the appeals court, it will be up to the boards to decide if they maintain voting hours that November weekend prior to Election Day.

Secretary of State Jon Husted's office has issued a statement saying the office will review the decision and no action will be taken this weekend.
