DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Construction throughout the Dayton region will divert some bus routes, announced RTA officials on Thursday.
New reroutes this month include:
Broadway Bridge Construction: Route 2 - Effective Monday, October 8
Outbound routes will run from Broadway, left onto Dakota, right onto Paul Laurence Dunbar, right onto Riverview, left onto Broadway. Inbound Routing will reverse. Temporary bus stop signs will be placed near Riverview or Dakota. The bus schedule will be affected by about two minutes.
State Route 444 closure: Route X1A - Effective Tuesday, October 9
Route X1A will continue to enter Gate 15A to serve current routing until it leaves Building 22. The route then will turn left onto Wright, right on Shuster, then continue through Gate 8A into the Kittyhawk Center, will leave the Kittyhawk Center through Gate 38A, continue through Gate 8A on Shuster, turn left on Talbott, right on Breene, left on Chidlaw, and then continue on Chidlaw to exit through Gate 12A.
A stop at Wright and Shuster will be added for customers who now use the Wright-Buckner stop. New X1A timetables are available at transit centers.
Downtown Dayton area: Routes X-5 and 42 - Effective Monday, October 15
Buses X-5 and 42 will use Edwin C. Moses to Third Street during the next phase of I-75 construction. This is subject to change should traffic loads be excessive.
